About the position

The Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for conducting failure analysis on electrical components, utilizing various lab equipment and techniques to identify root causes of failures. This role requires a deep understanding of both analog and digital circuit design, as well as semiconductor, IC, and PCB design. The engineer will analyze complex data sets and must be detail-oriented to manage high-volume activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct failure analysis on electrical components using various lab equipment.
  • Utilize failure analysis techniques such as LIT, OBIRCH, EMMI, SEM/EDS, FIB, TDR, Laser Injection, CT/X-Ray, SAM/CSAM.
  • Apply understanding of the advantages and limitations of failure analysis tools to determine the best course of action for root cause analysis.
  • Convey complex data sets from multiple sources into a concise and understandable form.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Electrical FA lab equipment (DMM, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, VNA, Signal Generator, Micro-probe Station, Curve Tracer, Power Supplies).
  • Deep understanding of various failure analysis techniques.
  • Deep understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor, IC, and PCB design.
