About the position

As an Electrical Field Service Engineer at Actalent, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of inspection, engineering, and supervisory tasks that support in-house testing, installation, start-up, and service/repair of various industrial equipment. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing, on-site environment with minimal supervision. You will be expected to travel extensively, up to 70% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to assist clients with the installation of new equipment and to ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards. In this position, you will utilize your expertise in reading electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machines. You will also be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed work records, including test plans, project plans, and equipment manuals. Your strong communication skills will be essential in directing and supervising the work of contractors and customer personnel during the installation and erection of equipment, ensuring that all projects are executed smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, engineering, and supervisory tasks for industrial equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Field Service Engineering experience with motor-controlled hydraulic and pneumatic machines preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability and willingness to learn troubleshooting of PLCs.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction and support.
  • Experience in writing project plans, test plans, and equipment manuals.
