About the position

The Electrical Field Service Engineer role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery at customer locations. This position requires extensive travel throughout the US and Canada, with occasional international travel, and focuses on ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule while providing expert guidance to operators and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Install new machinery that requires electrical wiring, system start-up, commissioning, and diagnosis.
• Take the lead to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing equipment.
• Provide expert guidance and training to operators and maintenance teams on troubleshooting and equipment upkeep.
• Perform preventive maintenance, audits, and servicing on machinery.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of experience in a similar electrical service or maintenance role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical controls, wiring, PLCs, motors, and drives.
• Competency with computer-based control systems and a basic understanding of networking.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in urgent situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer interaction.
