About the position
The Electrical Foreman I is responsible for managing a crew that installs, repairs, and maintains electrical systems in an industrial setting. This role involves overseeing the installation of underground cables, conduits, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining operational records. The foreman will lead a team of journeyman electricians and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage a crew of journeyman electricians and helpers in daily operations.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures.
- Oversee underground cable and conduit installation, terminating, and equipment installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to perform duties effectively.
- Keep records and report on time, cost codes, equipment, personnel records, and operational updates.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience working on high voltage systems.
- Install and modify cable trays using hand and power tools.
- Bend and cut conduit using various tools and equipment.
- Utilize specialized electrical tools such as ohm meters and multi-meters.
- Terminate both high and low voltage equipment and wiring.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
- Identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
Requirements
- Must have 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Must have 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Must possess a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Must have a valid NCCER Certification certification.
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently.
- Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to a New Construction Plant.
- Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300 ft.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Prior working experience with Zachry.
- Formal/technical education.
