About the position

The Electrical Foreman position is a critical leadership role within our client's organization, focusing on overseeing industrial electrical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading job crews, ensuring that all work is executed efficiently and adheres to both company and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, as well as a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems. The Electrical Foreman will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the job crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards. In this position, the Electrical Foreman will be tasked with hiring, training, and motivating crew members, while also enforcing company policies as necessary. A key aspect of the role involves reviewing and understanding job plans, specifications, and contract scopes to ensure that all work aligns with project requirements. The Electrical Foreman will attend coordination meetings to provide accurate updates on job progress and will be responsible for generating Requests for Information (RFIs) and other documentation as needed. Compliance with the National Electrical Codes and safety standards is paramount, and the Electrical Foreman will monitor job progress to ensure adherence to these regulations. Additionally, the role includes managing tool control, ordering materials, and maintaining a clean and organized job site. The Electrical Foreman will also be responsible for approving and tracking employee work time and performance, ensuring that all crew members are performing to the best of their abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of job crew employees.
  • Hire, train, and motivate crew members; enforce company policies as needed.
  • Review and understand job plans, specifications, and contract scope.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide accurate updates.
  • Monitor job progress and generate RFIs and other documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Codes and safety standards.
  • Manage tool control, order materials, and maintain a clean job site.
  • Approve and track employee work time and performance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Industrial Foreman.
  • NCCER certification or Electrician State License is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a DISA drug/alcohol test.
  • Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and L.O.T.O policies.
  • Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, and control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with bending and installing conduit, wiring, and electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with single and three-phase motors and motor control systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
