About the position

The General Manager at Prism Electric, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the Service Department's operations within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction, ensuring safety standards, managing a skilled workforce, and achieving revenue growth and profit margins. The General Manager will also be involved in coaching staff, aligning departmental goals with company objectives, and promoting services across branches.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety practices are maintained and documentation is properly reported.
  • Maintain a productive workforce with the necessary skills to meet production schedules.
  • Achieve minimum revenue growth of 10% and a profit margin of 15% in the assigned region.
  • Coach and develop associates to engage them in their daily activities and career growth.
  • Implement a policy of fairness and honesty in dealing with associates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor customer needs and respond with measurable goals and methods monthly.
  • Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction ratios.
  • Develop independent technician groups to market and increase sales.
  • Increase volume and profit annually for the company.
  • Maintain harmony with other branches and departments.
  • Align department goals with overall company goals.
  • Promote services provided by other branches.
  • Ensure all permitted work is inspected and completed to code standards.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good working order.
  • Prepare and manage the annual division and branch budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of estimating and project management experience in commercial projects.
  • Experience with large commercial projects from concept to close-out.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated employment stability.
  • Knowledge of Accubid and other construction management software.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
