About the position

The Electrical Graduate Engineer position at CEC Corporation involves working under the supervision of a licensed engineer to develop electrical engineering studies, plans, specifications, and design documents for commercial facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and engineers to ensure compliance with construction practices and code requirements, while also providing technical support and maintaining quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and assessments for commercial facilities.
  • Use AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other MEP-specific design software to create detailed designs for construction documents.
  • Select appropriate electrical materials based on coordination with architects, engineers, and code requirements.
  • Review and redline production plans for revisions.
  • Assist experienced engineers in developing specialized engineering skills.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to electrical design staff.
  • Participate in and ensure QC/QA procedures are followed.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and team members.
  • Mathematical skills including probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
