About the position

The Electrical Hardware Designer role at Actalent involves working on various projects related to automotive manufacturing, specifically supporting companies like Stellantis and GM. The position requires creating electrical drawings and designs for automation and tooling lines, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams to meet project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily/weekly meetings with engineering teams to determine scope of work and deliverables.
• Create drawings from references and from scratch for existing and new tooling lines and automation lines.
• Develop electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN for panel design, panel layout, and fluid power drawings.
• Design hydraulic and pneumatic controls for automation equipment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hardware design experience with extensive experience in automation equipment and panel design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Experience in BOM creation and release.

Nice-to-haves

• GCCHS Certification
• Previous experience working with large line builders such as ATS, KUKA, COMAU, PASLIN, FIVES, HIRATA.
• Experience with GM, Ford, and Stellantis.
