About the position

The Electrical/Hardware Engineer position in Belen, Costa Rica, is a long-term contract role focused on validation activities related to hardware and software systems. The engineer will be responsible for performance benchmarking, stress testing, and ensuring the integrity and functionality of hardware components within test systems. This role requires a blend of technical skills in hardware installation, system assembly, and documentation of software stacks and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance benchmarking and stress testing of hardware components.
• Perform thermal testing and signal integrity analysis.
• Execute power analysis and firmware & BIOS debugging.
• Configure software stacks and document processes.
• Install and secure hardware components into test systems.
• Assemble and disassemble systems, conduct physical inspections, and perform maintenance.
• Manage cabling and connectivity, including power testing and benchmarking.
• Develop test plans and procedures, and compile test reports and final validation reports.
• Document software stack configurations and power/performance benchmark reports.

Requirements

• Expertise in validation activities including performance benchmarking and stress testing.
• Proficiency in thermal testing and signal integrity analysis.
• Experience with power analysis and firmware & BIOS debugging.
• Ability to configure software stacks and document processes effectively.
• Skilled in hardware installation and setup, including securing components into test systems.
• Experience in system assembly and disassembly, along with physical inspections and maintenance.
• Knowledge of cabling and connectivity, as well as power testing and benchmarking.
