About the position

Parsons is seeking an Electrical/Hardware Engineering Intern to join their Federal Solutions team. This role involves designing and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for various applications, providing an opportunity to work with intelligent and diverse colleagues in a supportive environment that values individual contributions and growth.

Responsibilities

• Create schematics for electrical circuits in Altium
• Layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) in Altium
• Perform electrical tests on a variety of systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
• Perform market surveys to select integrated circuits for PCB designs

Requirements

• Basic electrical knowledge of resistors, capacitors, inductors
• Basic semiconductor knowledge of transistors and op amps
• At least one year of coursework towards a Computer or Electrical Engineering degree
• US Citizenship (no visas or green cards accepted)
• Eligibility for Security Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with eCAD tools, especially Altium
• Experience with electrical lab equipment like oscilloscopes
