About the position

The Electrical/Hardware Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed for individuals who will primarily work onsite in an HPE office. This position involves leading project teams in the design and development of complex electrical hardware products and solutions. The engineer will manage relationships with internal and outsourced partners, ensuring compliance with technology standards and driving innovation in electrical hardware design.

Responsibilities

  • Leads multiple project teams of electrical hardware engineers and development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development.
  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides feedback to improve product quality.
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership to cross-organization projects.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects in the electrical hardware design organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically 1-5 years of experience in electrical design including x-86 architectures.
  • Experience with high-speed buses like PCIe, DDR4, or DDR5.
  • Experience with PCIe Gen5.
  • Demonstrated experience with server design.
  • Proficient in using electrical design tools and software packages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
  • Ability to design and integrate electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.
  • Experience in evaluating and proposing empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies.
