About the position

The Electrical Hardware Engineer position at Emerson involves designing and developing online and portable devices for industrial process applications. The role focuses on various aspects of electrical engineering, including data acquisition, industrial sensing, and communication systems. The engineer will work within a global team to support new product development and maintain existing products, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development including specification and concept design, architecture and detailed design, implementation and verification.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Engage in continuation engineering for existing products, addressing design and component issues.
• Evaluate and select new technologies and tools for product development and maintenance.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Zero (0) - Two (2) or more years of experience
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

• An ABET accredited engineering degree
• Knowledge in microcontroller-based board level design, schematic entry, and printed circuit board design and layout.
• Experience with simulation and analysis tools
• Familiarity with analog to digital conversion, low noise signal conditioning, and digital signal processing.
• Proven ability to solve technical problems and meet project schedules.
