About the position

The Electrical Hardware Engineer at Envision Technology is responsible for the design, layout, integration, and testing of electronics for unmanned systems and subsystems in defense applications. This role requires collaboration in a fast-paced environment and involves detailed electronics design, simulation, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of hardware control systems.

Responsibilities

• Interface with others in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, including mechanical, software, systems, suppliers, and customers.
• Conduct detailed electronics design including mixed-signal/RF circuit design, component selection, and component placement layout with emphasis on high-density, low SWaP applications.
• Create schematics and develop System on Module (SoM) designs.
• Perform high-speed data transmission and power/signal analysis while adhering to EMC best practices.
• Evaluate designs through simulation, prototype testing, and requirement verification.
• Troubleshoot design failure modes to root cause and develop quick, effective solutions.
• Generate associated documentation for designs and processes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing complex hardware control systems.
• Experience with electrical design principles and testing for a military environment, particularly mixed-signal designs for compact, electro-optical systems.
• Proficient in ECAD tools for schematic capture and system simulation.
• Hands-on experience with system integration and testing.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and other external personnel.
