About the position

The Electrical Hardware Engineering Program Specialist at Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is responsible for driving the new product development of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) across the supply chain. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure material readiness and manage procurement activities, while also overseeing budget tracking and invoice management for R&D activities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage electrical and mechanical component BOM readiness and procurement activities.
  • Develop, issue, and track Purchase Orders and Invoices for NPI materials.
  • Communicate with PCBA contract manufacturers to monitor material readiness and manage delivery schedules for ECUs.
  • Drive mitigation strategies with component/PCB suppliers and distributors to recover build schedules.
  • Create reports on material readiness status, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Technical Program Managers on material readiness process improvements.
  • Coordinate budget development and track invoice status against budget envelope.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects while prioritizing competing demands.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in procurement, logistics, and vendor management.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Direct experience with custom PCBA BOM procurement and management.
  • Direct experience with vendor management and logistics.
  • Direct experience with organizational budget management.
