About the position
The Electrical Hardware Packaging Engineer will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical hardware packaging, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and effective collaboration with various teams. This role involves creating assembly and installation instructions and requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and packaging for electronic hardware.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate space reservations and physical/electrical interfaces.
- Design metallic and other packaging and installation details.
- Collaborate with design/analysis disciplines and procurement teams.
- Create assembly and installation instructions for final products.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- At least 5 years of experience with CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or 3DX.
- Recent experience in electronic hardware packaging (PCBs, connectors, housings).
- Ability to perform static and structural analysis for electronics packaging.
- Ability to perform thermal analysis for electronics packaging.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461/464, DO-160).
- Ability to work on US government projects.
