About The Position

The Electrical Hardware Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and oversight for subsystem supplier efforts, ensuring that prime contract requirements are effectively communicated and adhered to by suppliers. This position involves a significant amount of coordination and technical guidance, particularly in the context of the production of rocket systems at an offsite facility. The engineer will be responsible for the disposition of hardware, specifically in the context of MRBE (Material Review Board Engineering), and will actively support the production schedule and program needs. The successful candidate will take ownership of their assigned subsystem, driving actions to closure and ensuring that all issues are communicated directly to program leaders, including both Lockheed Martin (LM) and government customers. A willingness to learn about the rocket system, its subsystems, and the automated production testing equipment is essential. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to understanding the complexities of the systems involved. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, along with 3-4 years of relevant experience in development, production, and supplier support. The ability to obtain MRBE status through appropriate training and mentoring is also a requirement. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to engage deeply with technical challenges and contribute to the success of high-stakes engineering projects.
