About the position

The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Tester to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This position is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical hardware products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with low voltage equipment and will be responsible for conducting rigorous testing of various electrical hardware products, including power quality analyzers and monitoring devices. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can perform functional tests to verify product compliance with specifications and industry standards. In this position, you will troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to electrical components and circuits, ensuring the safe handling of low voltage equipment during testing procedures. You will maintain meticulous records of test results and observations, documenting any deviations or anomalies that may arise during testing. Collaboration with the quality control team is essential, as you will work together to identify and address any product defects or nonconformities. Additionally, familiarity with Omicron testing equipment is a plus, as you will utilize this and other specialized tools for accurate and comprehensive testing. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during normal working hours, with very rare weekend work expected. However, flexibility is key, as travel may be required once a month or less, often with short notice due to business and client needs. The compensation for this role ranges from $65,000 to $70,000, accompanied by a robust benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous testing of electrical hardware products, including power quality analyzers and monitoring devices.
  • Perform functional tests to verify product compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to electrical components and circuits.
  • Ensure the safe handling of low voltage equipment during testing procedures.
  • Maintain meticulous records of test results and observations, documenting any deviations or anomalies.

  • Utilize Omicron testing equipment and other specialized tools for accurate and comprehensive testing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Tester, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Familiarity with low voltage equipment and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Omicron testing equipment.
