The Electrical Instrument Serviceman I position at The Monarch Cement Company involves working in the Humboldt, Kansas plant to service, install, and troubleshoot a variety of electrical equipment.   • Service, install, and troubleshoot electrical equipment including 4160V and 480V power distribution and motor controls.
  • Work collaboratively with other electricians and technical personnel.
  • Follow oral and written instructions to accomplish duties safely and systematically.
  • Learn the operation of all cement making equipment.
  • Safely operate specialty tools, forklifts, manlifts, hoists, and other equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-hire physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Some college education related to electrical systems or technical certification preferred.
  • Verifiable electrical experience such as an apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
  • WorkReady Certificate through KansasWorks is preferred.
  • Prior experience with basic tools and test equipment associated with electrical work.
