About the position

At Entergy, we power life today and for future generations. This means we do more than provide electric and natural gas service; we are committed to listening to our customers to better serve, support, and build a sustainable future together. Our nuclear fleet, headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, operates a fleet of nuclear reactors across four locations in the United States, generating approximately 5,200 megawatts of clean, carbon-free nuclear power. This is critical in meeting our climate commitments to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The Central Design Engineering team is responsible for providing high-quality, cost-effective design services for the Entergy Nuclear Fleet. This includes preparing modification packages to enhance plant performance and reliability while ensuring compliance with defined standards, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. The team plays a vital role in maintaining the site's design and licensing basis, ensuring that all engineering work is completed on schedule and meets organizational needs. As part of this role, you will prepare engineering products, assist in resolving operational issues, provide technical support across various departments, and manage engineering work assignments. You will also be involved in digital systems projects, including software and hardware specifications, cybersecurity, and life cycle management. The position requires effective communication of technical information at all organizational levels and a commitment to maintaining qualifications through ongoing training. This position will be filled as an Engineer I, II, III, Senior, or Senior Lead based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. The role demands a strong understanding of nuclear engineering principles, digital modification processes, and familiarity with various engineering tools and software used in the nuclear industry.
