About the position

Shape Process Automation, a SHAPE Technologies Group company, is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Electrician. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative environment where we develop integrated manufacturing strategies and industrial automation solutions for Tier I and Tier II suppliers. Our mission is to redefine manufacturing through robotic automation, and we take a holistic approach to our clients' manufacturing operations, designing and implementing tailored production strategies and solutions to meet their specific needs. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in training new electricians and assigning build tasks to technicians. You will be responsible for checking in all purchase items via the electrical engineering bill of material, verifying that all build components are accounted for and organized. Maintaining an active list of any missing items from the Electrical bill of materials daily is essential, as is completing transfers for batch-build items using both Magic and the purchasing-112 form. You will also be involved in high-pressure tubing layout and plumbing, as well as all pneumatic and vacuum plumbing, ensuring that the work area around all assigned systems is neat and orderly. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough debugging of system electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and high-pressure systems, as well as performing comprehensive system checks at internal run-offs. You will be tasked with ensuring overall system cleanliness, tearing down and packaging assigned systems, and relaying all electrical system changes to engineering using the red-line process. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Training new electricians
  • Assign build tasks to assigned technicians

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of machine tool electrical experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Possess your own tools
  • Ability to read complex electrical and pneumatic schematics
  • The ability and willingness to train team members
  • Must have general computer skills
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Must possess Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and work through Electrical build issues and turn in required documentation
  • An ability to work with other departments and professionally communicate issues
  • Flexibility to work off shifts including nights as required
  • Possess the ability to oversee multiple projects to their completion
  • Possess or be willing and able to get a passport for international travel
  • Must be willing to travel out of state and internationally via land or air
