About the position

The Electrical Intern position at EXP offers an opportunity to work within the Electrical team of the Entertainment & Hospitality sector in Coral Gables, Florida. This role is designed for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) program, providing hands-on experience in engineering problem-solving and design.

Responsibilities

• Convert engineer markups into working drawings using Revit and CAD.
• Plot drawings for review by engineers.
• Assist in preparing electrical loads and laying out fire alarm devices from engineers.
• Prepare CAD floor plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, and equipment.
• Develop schedule and detail sheets using CAD with direction from the designer.

Requirements

• Enrollment in BSEE or BSAE program required.
• Fluency in engineering problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Self-starter and results-oriented.
• Organizational skills for daily tasks.
• Personable and able to work well with colleagues.
• Understanding and experience in Revit.
