About the position

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally to meet production goals while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facilities and production equipment to ensure it is in safe working order.
• Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair and replacement.
• Sets up new office spaces or cubicles by assembling and moving furniture, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, making name plates, moving and setting up tables and chairs.
• Repairs and replaces doorknobs or locks, repairs door closures, and patches holes in walls.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, sinks or urinals. Fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

• Experience with electronic maintenance.
