About the position

The Electrical Maintenance Technician at Dallas Plastics Corp is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of machines, tools, and equipment. This role involves emergency repairs, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency of production operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform simple machinist skills for fabricating parts as needed.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting of blown film extruders and ancillary equipment.
• Perform electrical skills, including repairing electrical controls, equipment, and wiring, as well as troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machines, and facilities.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 12 months of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
