About the position
The Electrical Maintenance Technician at SPINO in Decatur, AL is a full-time role focused on supporting plant production processes through hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment. The technician will be responsible for ensuring safety and operational goals are met while performing inspections, repairs, and documentation of work. This position requires flexibility in working hours, including the possibility of 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant equipment.
- Document work in the SAP system and facility engineering files.
- Assist in training multi-craft new hires and other team members.
- Maintain work area housekeeping, including storage and points of lubrication.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate thoroughly with others regarding maintenance tasks and needs.
- Progressively become more self-directed in work responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- An associate's degree or certificate in a craft-related field, plus one additional short certificate in a different craft field.
- Proficiency in 80% of the Mechanical and Electrical Training Matrix.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Welding Technology or related fields.
- Knowledge of Electrical Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool Technology, or HVAC.
