About the position

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a nut processing facility. This role requires technical expertise in electrical systems, mechanical components, and processing equipment, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using multi-meters (Amps-Ohms-Voltages).
• Maintain and repair single-phase and three-phase motors, motor overloads, and motor starters with thermal overload protection.
• Work with fuses, breakers, voltage tracking, and VFD systems.
• Troubleshoot sensors, igniters, flame sensors, and ignition control modules on dryers.
• Handle scales, load cells, and 4/20 mA signals from infield transmitters.
• Maintain and repair motors, gearboxes, conveyors, elevators, and vibratory feeders.
• Replace or repair sprockets, bearings, shafts, chains, and huller rollers.
• Perform auger and counterweight conveyor belt tracking maintenance.
• Service auger bearings/hangers and other essential processing equipment.
• Execute detailed job instructions with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shifts during peak processing and hulling months.

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules during peak processing times.
