About the position

Fulfil is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to lead the electrical manufacturing process for our innovative automation robotics systems. This role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design and operationalize cutting-edge technology aimed at improving the food supply chain's environmental impact. The position offers significant growth opportunities in a fast-paced startup environment, focusing on the development and production of high-quality electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own challenging electrical manufacturing projects in industrial automation and robotics.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to design robust electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and contract manufacturers to ensure efficient manufacturing and high production quality.
  • Evaluate designs and propose changes to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and increase reliability.
  • Provide DFM/DFA guidance and feedback on electrical designs.
  • Solve technical problems across different electrical manufacturing commodities.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture and improve engineering workflows and processes.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience with PCBA, cabinets, cabling, motors, and other electrical equipment design and manufacturing.
  • Proficient in PCBA development tools such as Altium or Cadence.
  • Working knowledge of standard electrical inspection procedures for PCBAs, cabinets, and cabling.
  • Proficient in utilizing common electrical troubleshooting equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power supplies.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the company to its partners, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Excited to travel, with up to 15% travel to supplier or customer locations.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6+ years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Experience with robotics, motors, and other electromechanical components.
  • Experience with UL or CE certification.
