About the position

The Electrical Manufacturing Technician at P&G's Auburn, Maine site plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing operations of the company, particularly in the Feminine Care business unit. This position involves maintaining production line health, minimizing unscheduled downtime, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing capacity. The technician will work on general maintenance and troubleshooting, with future responsibilities including small electrical projects across various departments. The ideal candidate is expected to be a team player who is curious and willing to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical & instrumentation interface development, coaching, and technical support for on-shift technicians.
  • Execute Process / Machine Control first level support and preventative maintenance coordination.
  • Engage in continual improvement activities; update and modify existing controls systems including robotic programs, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control.
  • Create, maintain, and keep documentation of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, as well as platform panel layouts.
  • Schedule and complete backups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs on a set schedule.
  • Maintain and update controls portion of machine standards.
  • Participate in and provide periodic coordinated power, controls, instrumentation, and information systems technical training for site capability building.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or similar educational background in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or related disciplines.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or general industrial environment.
  • Foundational experience with PLCs, Ladder Logic, HMIs, etc.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Processors, Rockwell and Fanuc Robots is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as required by business need.
