Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, seeks Electrical Power and Harness Systems Engineers - Experienced, Lead or Senior levels to support the team in El Segundo, California as an Electrical Power and Harness Systems Engineer. The Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SIWS) Team creates the next generation products and services for both commercial and proprietary customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments. The Electrical Power and Harness Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team immersed in high intensity development projects. You will have the opportunity to work with satellite power and harness subsystem non-recurring and recurring/sustaining efforts and activities including systems engineering of power system elements and capabilities. Position Responsibilities include providing leadership support that fosters a culture of timely communication of potential issues and help needed to Program Management and Engineering Capabilities Management to quickly resolve issues and threats to performance. You will drive timely closure of technical issues and anomalies to meet program requirements, be responsible for power systems activities, analyze and approve power system test data, and address power system anomalies at unit-level, subsystem, and system levels from ground test through on-orbit operations. You will interface with program customers, suppliers, and other engineering stakeholders, mentor less-experienced engineers, perform power system analyses and trade studies, ensure subsystem designs comply with program requirements, chair key design reviews, lead critical Root-Cause/Corrective Action investigation teams, and evaluate and champion new technology and methods. To meet security standards and protocols, this position is 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA. This worksite participates in Boeing's optional 9/80 schedule rotation, allowing employees to work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.
