About the position

The Electrical Power Systems Engineer at ND Paper is responsible for overseeing the monitoring and maintenance of the plant's power systems. This role involves planning and executing maintenance work, ensuring compliance with interconnect agreements, and collaborating with various teams to enhance equipment reliability. The position is integral to supporting the operations of a 24/7 manufacturing facility, emphasizing safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
• Work with area E/I personnel to diagnose and repair issues.
• Identify predictive maintenance needs for planned power outages.
• Facilitate power system predictive/preventative maintenance programs in SAP.
• Apply and expand new technology and industry learnings toward equipment and process reliability improvement.
• Support capital projects for power needs related to numerous capital improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent training and/or experience.
• Prior high voltage experience is a plus.
