About the position

The Electrical Power Systems Technician at Blue Origin plays a crucial role in supporting the development of electrical power spaceflight systems. This position is integral to the Enterprise Program Management team, which provides technical standards and expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. The technician will be involved in all aspects of avionics development, focusing on battery, ultra-capacitor, and high voltage system testing, contributing to the mission of enabling safe and repeatable space flight.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of electrical power spaceflight systems.
• Conduct testing on battery, ultra-capacitor, and high voltage systems.
• Implement and improve safe work practices for high-energy spacecraft system testing.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to share knowledge and learn from others.
• Provide customer-focused support to various space power system programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall hands-on electronics experience.
• Proficiency in performing soldering repairs on harness or CCA assemblies.
• Basic knowledge of circuit and electronic theory and ability to assemble, test, and diagnose basic electronic circuits.
• Proven safety champion with the ability to implement and improve safe work practices.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships.

Nice-to-haves

• Skilled in harness fabrication and rework.
• Experience with hand soldering and fabrication techniques.
• 2+ years supporting high voltage and energy storage system testing.
• Ability to inspect circuit board assemblies.
• Familiarity with battery systems and power electronic circuits.
