About the position

The Electrical Process Engineer supports production and facility operations by addressing equipment and process issues. This role involves electrical troubleshooting on equipment and processes, as well as leading systemic improvements to equipment, processes, and process controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support Electrical Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Develop and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Define, develop, and execute improvement plans.
  • Maintain PLC software and PLC application backup systems.
  • Approve Electrical Standards for the plant.
  • Support current and incoming Facilities and Manufacturing processes.
  • Review and approve electrical technical documentation for accuracy.
  • Approve calibration procedures.
  • Approve Safe Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Electrical Systems.
  • Program and design PLC, HMI, and process vision systems.
  • Complete change controls to support electrical modifications.
  • Support the development of new processes by defining Electrical requirements for incoming products.
  • Develop and execute Qualifications and Protocols.
  • Provide technical support for Electrical equipment breakdowns and process interruptions.
  • Offer guidance and training support for current C&IS and FM Electrical Technicians.
  • Serve as a technical resource to the operations management team.
  • Lead Root Cause determination investigations.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting OR strong electrical manufacturing.
  • Experience with HMI and troubleshooting electronics.
  • Strong in engineering and design engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing facility (preferably in pharmaceuticals or a regulated environment) OR a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with direct experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use data in a systemic fashion to determine Root Cause, drive out solutions, assess current process trends, develop action plans, and lead others through process improvement.
  • Experience with power distribution, PLCs, process instrumentation, and instrument calibration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
