About the position

Competitive Edge Consulting and Partners LLC is a well-established and successful Commercial Electrical Company in the Central Florida area. We are seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator to assist the Project Manager (PM) and Superintendents in managing day-to-day operations. This role involves handling various tasks such as managing purchase orders, maintaining customer relations, scheduling, and facilitating communications between customers and vendors. The coordinator will also be responsible for office management, billing, and organizing and maintaining project data and bid documentation. The ideal candidate will support the PM with all items required by the Superintendent/Foreman for the job, including creating project team lists and conducting research on local vendors. The coordinator will assist in the preparation of job start-up, pre-qualifications, and job closeout documents. Additionally, the role includes reviewing documents and correspondence, such as project update reports, proposals, and requests for information. The Electrical Project Coordinator will also help troubleshoot invoice issues and manage change requests for potential change orders, ensuring that all duties are performed to keep projects on track. Responsibilities

  • Assist the PM and Superintendents in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Handle purchase orders and customer relations.
  • Schedule and facilitate communications between customers and vendors.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in project coordination or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the electrical industry.
  • Familiarity with construction project management processes.
