The Electrical Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the electrical trade, with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with applicable codes and standards, thereby maintaining the highest quality of electrical work on site. In this role, the Coordinator supervises all electrical construction personnel, including full-time employees, subcontractors, and temporary workers. While the Coordinator does not have control over safety personnel, they are expected to adhere to and reinforce the safety instructions provided by these personnel. Effective communication is essential, as the Coordinator must relay labor hours and performance metrics to the Project Management team, ensuring that manpower needs and project milestones are clearly understood. The Coordinator is also tasked with reviewing and submitting Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Shift Logs, performing quality audits on all work conducted on site, and reviewing purchase requests from the field before sending approvals to upper management. The ability to lead and direct subordinates in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems is critical, as is the capacity to manage projects efficiently and within budget constraints. The Coordinator must also maintain professional communication with clients, project managers, and upper management, providing accurate bills of materials as needed. Additionally, proficiency in using MEGA and arc flash safety equipment, as well as cable pulling and feed equipment, is required. The Electrical Project Coordinator must be capable of visualizing objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings and must work independently without supervision, exercising independent judgment in their primary job functions.
