About the position
As an Electrical Project Designer at Core States Group, you will support the Architecture and Engineering business unit by designing and drafting electrical engineering projects. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines and focuses on power systems studies and design elements to meet client and code requirements. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, contributing to the successful execution of electrical design projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
- Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
- Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
- Assist in maintaining task budgets.
- Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
- Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
- Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
Requirements
- 0-2+ years of experience with electrical design for buildings, preferably with commercial projects such as retail or restaurants.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- E.I.T. preferred.
- AutoCAD and MS Office required; Revit and SKM are a plus.
Nice-to-haves
