About the position

Powell's Electrical Division is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop custom engineered solutions that meet customer specifications using Powell's standard products. The role involves designing Power Control Rooms, ordering materials, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure quality and safety in engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom engineered solutions using Powell standard products.
• Design Power Control Rooms according to electrical standards.
• Order materials necessary for engineering projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to check completed tasks.
• Attend in-house and outside training sessions.
• Participate in local professional associations.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related area.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Ability to apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve simple application problems independently.
• Basic computer skills using Oracle, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to order materials electronically.
• Advanced drafting/CAD skills, preferably in AutoCAD.
• Proficient with electrical design and circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical symbols and modify drawings.
• Basic understanding of power systems and relay applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ISO policies and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with vendor products.
