Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Pensacola, Florida. This full-time position is ideal for an individual with over 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the context of manufacturing equipment and processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and executing major capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required performance standards. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across the organization, including global manufacturing, innovation, new product development, and plant operations, as well as with external suppliers. As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for applying sound process control and power concepts to all work performed. You will actively participate in a multifunctional project team, executing a variety of capital projects from concept through to asset installation and start-up. Your responsibilities will include investigating problems with processes and equipment, recommending corrective actions, and specifying equipment while working closely with vendors. You will also be involved in designing, procuring, and installing controls and power systems for new production lines, whether in existing facilities or new ones. Additionally, you will participate in Lean events aimed at driving rapid process improvements and will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior electrical engineers and maintenance personnel on technical and engineering best practices.
