About the position

The Senior Project Engineer at Atwell, LLC will lead engineering activities for major Oil & Gas and Energy projects, focusing on pipelines and facilities. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring technical guidance, and maintaining communication with clients and regulatory agencies. The engineer will also oversee design changes, coordinate with external consultants, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct project team on various assignments as directed by the lead Project Manager providing technical guidance
  • Recommend and implement design changes per the client's request
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, or public as needed
  • Serve as liaison between clients and project team members
  • Ensure team performance and provide leadership to project teams
  • Supervise, advise, and assist assigned project team members
  • Foster teamwork within project teams and other teams within the firm
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Establish personal networks
  • Participate in applicable professional societies and trade associations
  • Achieve team performance objectives as well as individual objectives
  • Work closely with other Energy teams within Atwell to take advantage of expertise and share resources
  • Manage the Engineering activities related to design for major Oil & Gas / Energy projects
  • Provide engineering technical input into projects at various stages
  • Coordinate Engineering design efforts with EPC or external consultants
  • Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors, and various engineering disciplines
  • Identify all critical risks, issues, and impacts of the project
  • Re/monitor contractors' progress and monitor the progress relating to key project milestones
  • Assist procurement in running RFPs and managing the process to sub-contractors
  • Remain up to date on new technologies and regulatory conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Petroleum or related field required
  • Professional License (PE) highly preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in oil and gas industry
  • Familiarity with CO2, hydrogen, and RNG pipelines and facilities
