As an Electrical Project Engineer at IMEG, you will play a pivotal role in leading design efforts for low to moderate complexity projects while collaborating with senior staff on larger, more complex projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients, ensuring positive outcomes through effective communication and collaboration. You will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants, overseeing the engineering analysis, design, and implementation of electrical systems for buildings. This position requires a strong focus on project management, including working within monetary budgets, training and mentoring less experienced staff, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. In this role, you will utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations that adhere to code requirements and IMEG standards. You will interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and maintain professional relationships through effective communication. As part of a project team, you will support the execution of consulting projects, lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and objectives. You will document design decisions, monitor project design progress, and analyze engineering problems to propose innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will also include conducting in-process design reviews, implementing quality control processes, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Safety will be a priority in all aspects of your work, as you identify and mitigate potential risks associated with electrical systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions and oversee projects through the bidding and construction administration phases.
