In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the project's requirements and breaking them down into manageable tasks. You will collaborate closely with the design team to determine the scope, budget, and staffing needs for each project. A key part of your responsibilities will include writing scopes of work for electrical design, which will be based on your preliminary reviews and meetings with clients. You will also prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems while analyzing the operation of existing systems to ensure optimal performance. Your ability to present complex engineering analyses clearly and effectively to both owners and design teams will be crucial. You will document existing conditions and perform complex and detailed troubleshooting to resolve various intricate problems, such as conflicting design requirements, code issues, and varying design options. Additionally, you will research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials to ensure compliance with all regulations. Producing sketches and system schematics for complicated design tasks, such as the layout of electrical rooms, will also be part of your duties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to apply them in practical scenarios to deliver high-quality results.
