About the position

As an Electrical Project Engineer at our client’s company, you will be at the forefront of designing, integrating, and managing multiple projects that enhance product offerings. This role is crucial in ensuring that the products not only meet but exceed customer expectations and set new industry standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of product design and market necessities, effectively communicating these concepts to the project team to establish precise engineering product specifications. Your expertise will guide the project from concept through to production, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with the company's goals. In this position, you will facilitate communication between the North American Marketing team and the engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams located overseas. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for the successful execution of projects. You will own project planning and definition, conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), design analysis, and verification activities. Adherence to the New Product Development (NPD) process is critical, and you will maintain the NPD checklist and documentation to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met. The role may require international travel, although this is expected to be limited to fewer than five trips per year. Working hours are set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured work environment that supports work-life balance. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority overseeing design and market necessities, effectively conveying these concepts to the project team to establish engineering product specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between the Marketing team in North America and the engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams based overseas.
  • Own project planning and definition, conduct DFMEA, design analysis, and verification activities.
  • Enforce adherence to the New Product Development (NPD) process, maintain the NPD checklist and documentation, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • International travel as required (fewer than 5 trips).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of engineering technical project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of embedded system design and best practices.
  • Experience with PCB layout, EMC/EMI requirements, and mitigation techniques.
