About the position

The Electrical Project Engineer at Morgan Advanced Materials will lead electrical controls and facilities-related infrastructure projects within the Electrical Carbon Group in Fostoria, Ohio. This role is crucial for driving engineering projects from design to implementation, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and enhancing technical capabilities through supervision and training.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations personnel, engineers, and stakeholders to drive engineering projects.
  • Lead projects from design to implementation, focusing on medium and low voltage distribution systems and electrical control systems.
  • Solve complex problems in electrical engineering, ensuring projects meet industry standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project budgets, estimating labor, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Engage in hands-on project management, ensuring tasks meet safety, quality, and efficiency criteria.
  • Provide on-site support for equipment and facility-related challenges.
  • Supervise and train personnel to enhance technical capabilities and foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, particularly in VFD, HMI, and PLC control systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and understanding of NFPA Electrical Standards.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001/AS 9100, and interest in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
