About the position

The Electrical Project Engineer at IMEG Corp. is responsible for leading design efforts and managing low to moderate complexity electrical projects. This role involves collaborating with senior staff on larger projects, providing engineering solutions, and ensuring positive client outcomes. The engineer will work closely with a team to analyze, design, and oversee the implementation of electrical systems in buildings, while adhering to project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems using engineering software and tools.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and gather project requirements.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
  • Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Document design decisions and monitor project design progress.
  • Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system designs and specifications.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to innovation efforts.
  • Prioritize safety in engineering work and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager.
  • Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phases.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts related to electrical engineering.
  • Experience in project management and leading engineering design efforts.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
