About the position

The Electrical Project Manager at E&T Electric LLC is responsible for overseeing industrial electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role requires strong knowledge in high voltage electrical systems and involves coordinating resources, managing project schedules, and maintaining project budgets. The position emphasizes safety compliance and effective communication with various stakeholders, including architects and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversees assigned projects of any size from start to finish ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Ensures delivery of equipment, materials, tools, and field staff are scheduled to meet project deadlines.
  • Plans and schedules resources with Foreman's to meet project expectations.
  • Works in conjunction with field leadership to coordinate construction activities.
  • Evaluates project costs ensuring project remains on/under budget, updates on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares, presents and tracks change orders, purchase orders and other necessary documentation.
  • Assists in billing and collections process with customers as needed.
  • Processes and maintains proper written documents needed for projects.
  • Acts as a liaison between architects, contractors, and owners.
  • Conducts site visits on a regular basis, as required.
  • Contract review and management.
  • Pre-con support including bid review, spec review, interview, quotation review, etc.
  • Responsible for thorough understanding and execution of project scope, financials, installation, and all project management.
  • Major purchase orders and subcontractor management.
  • Responsible for compliance with all E&T procedures.
  • Accurate reporting of project financials (WIPs).
  • Account management and project closeout.

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Management or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience for a commercial/industrial construction contractor.
  • Strong knowledge in the industrial-high voltage electrical field.
  • Previous experience working as an industrial high voltage journeyman or foreman.
  • Licensed electrician preferred.
  • Knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction means, methods, and scheduling.
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient in various construction-related systems, such as Blue Beam, Procore, and Accubid.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Project.
  • Strong accounting skills and financial aptitude.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.

  • Journeyman's license helpful.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize multiple projects.
  • Possesses strong organizational capabilities.
