About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical circuits and components, the ability to inspect and test electrical control panels, and a dedication to ensuring quality workmanship. This role will serve as a key liaison between technicians and engineering, ensuring that all parts, panels, and systems are properly tested, documented, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation of panels, test devices, and equipment tested.
  • Inspect panels according to drawings and Bill of Materials.
  • Perform inspections during the fabrication process.
  • Act as a liaison between Technicians and Engineering.
  • Test panels for workmanship, operation, and quality.
  • Ensure parts are updated, tracked, and match job orders.
  • Create and distribute labels and wire numbers for each job issued.
  • Create test fixtures as needed and integrate them into testing procedures.
  • Assist in production as required.
  • Provide training for assembly and testing of electrical control panels.
  • Support the Safety Program and conduct necessary safety training.
  • Develop and build test simulation devices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts on drives, soft starters, PLCs, and controllers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience, with at least 2 years in quality assurance, testing, or electrical circuits.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and basic AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of UL and NEC standards.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing events, processes, or technologies.
  • Meticulous record-keeping and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
