The Electrical Quality Manager will oversee the quality inspection and quality assurance functions within the plants, ensuring that product inspections and quality control procedures are executed as defined in the Megger Quality Manual. This role is crucial in maintaining the standards required by our customers and the end-users. The manager will be responsible for maintaining ISO:9001 certification, facilitating required audits, and managing all ISO:9001 related documentation for new product development. The position requires the development and improvement of manufacturing procedures to maximize operational efficiency while striving to control variability within operations processes and assisting in the overall standardization of manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include ensuring that the guidelines, procedures, specifications, and reports in the Quality Manual are executed at the plant level, monitoring and managing the customer complaint database, and ensuring that quality standards are maintained and communicated to all plant employees. The manager will also train associates as needed, guide the plant in promoting quality improvements throughout all manufacturing processes, and conduct regularly scheduled quality meetings to follow up on action items and improvements agreed upon. Additionally, the manager will maintain and provide access to Quality reference materials, statistically analyze product failures to identify quality improvement areas, and manage component quality issues at the plant level. The Electrical Quality Manager will also be responsible for maintaining control of nonconforming materials, monitoring data for daily audits in SAP, assisting customer and third-party auditors, and leading all ISO audits while acting as a liaison with outside auditors. The role requires a proactive approach to recognizing trends through quality data review and taking necessary actions to improve product and process controls. The manager will collaborate with Plant Management Staff to determine solutions for staffing compatibility, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives, utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma efforts. The position also involves managing safety, OSHA, and EPA requirements, including ISO-9000 audits and corrective actions, safety education and training, and OSHA reporting.
