Wiley|Wilson is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of complex electrical systems within a 100% employee-owned firm. Our electrical engineering practice is well-established, focusing on building systems design across diverse markets, including critical facilities, sustainability, and alternate energy design. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will leverage your extensive experience and technical skills to solve complex engineering problems while ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client regulations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering disciplines, project managers, and contractors, to lead project teams in delivering comprehensive engineering design packages. These packages will cater to a diverse range of clients, including federal, state, and local agencies, as well as commercial and industrial entities and universities. You will provide oversight and direction to junior engineers and designers, offering leadership and training while conducting feasibility studies, load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations. Additionally, you will support construction and commissioning activities, maintaining the quality and accuracy of your work and that of your design team. Effective communication with project managers, design and construction team members, and clients is essential. You will also collaborate with the electrical team across offices to enhance internal standards and support colleague development.
