About the position
The Electrical Superintendent at Hurst Electric is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation and completion of electrical infrastructure in large commercial or industrial warehouses. This role involves ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strong customer relations and coordinating labor needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the electrical construction process at assigned projects.
- Build personal relationships with general contractors.
- Attend project-related meetings and represent Hurst Electric.
- Coordinate with cities throughout permitting and inspection processes.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members.
- Maintain a safe job site and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Report unsafe or dangerous conditions to the office.
- Study construction documents to understand the full scope of work and requirements for a project.
- Monitor project progress and quality control to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Manage teams of journeyman and apprentice electricians assigned to projects.
- Manage orders of material and equipment for projects.
- Maintain healthy relationships with employees and keep morale high.
- Protect Hurst Electric equipment, tools, and trucks.
Requirements
- Journeyman License
- Valid Driver's License
- Supervising experience
- Senior level experience (10 years)
