About the position

Kyyba, Inc. is seeking an Electrical System Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This position involves creating and documenting electrical system requirements, architecture, and hardware interfaces specifically for vehicle electronics. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating behavior and communication requirements related to electrical engineering (EE) features as they apply to various vehicle programs. This role requires maintaining and updating schematics for data bus communication, as well as documenting system DFMEA (design failure mode & effect analysis) and assembly process standards necessary for EE systems features. In addition, the Electrical System Engineer will modify production vehicle network topology and create system behavioral requirements. The role also includes completing software updates and providing diagnostic support. The engineer will support low voltage triage and provide vehicle commissioning progress updates to a variety of audiences in different forums. Furthermore, the position entails creating training documentation that ranges from basic company system navigation to comprehensive guides on vehicle debugging. The tools and technologies utilized in this role include CANalyzer, CANoe, DOORS, MATLAB, Simulink, AutoCAD, Python, C, CAN, and LIN.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation, including Electronics Engineering Intern or related experience.
  • Completion of Master's-level academic coursework in Vehicle Electronics.
