About the position

The Electrical Systems Inspector at Alutiiq Commercial Enterprises, LLC is responsible for conducting facility inventory and condition assessments on various building components and systems at Joint Base Langley - Eustis (JBLE). This role involves managing resources for annual assessments, updating data in the BUILDER™ Sustainment Management System, and ensuring compliance with specifications and building codes. The inspector will work closely with facility management staff and utilize various tools and software to document findings and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility inventory and condition assessments on building components and systems.
• Manage resources to execute annual client inventory and assessment deliverable requirements.
• Update inventory and condition assessment data in the BUILDER™ Sustainment Management System (SMS).
• Conduct walk-through surveys and interview facility managers for data collection.
• Use professional expertise to determine physical condition and compliance with specifications.
• Download and update existing inventory and condition data in the BUILDER Remote Entry Database (BRED).
• Run MS Excel reports on inventory and condition data and conduct analyses.
• Document building and equipment inventory using a digital camera.
• Determine facility measurements using laser measuring devices or measuring wheels.
• Annotate inventory quantities and findings on facility floor plans.
• Physically place barcodes on building equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Provide guidance to unit personnel on data changes related to facilities or equipment.
• Attend meetings related to facility inventory and condition assessment projects.

Requirements

• College degree, technical school, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Electrical Journeyman, or Facilities Management.
• 3+ years performing facility inventories and condition assessments.
• 3+ years using facility inventory and condition assessment software such as SMS.
• Experience in BUILDER SMS preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and data capture assessment software.
• Thorough knowledge of building construction, materials, and maintenance procedures.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
