About the position

As an Electrical Technician at Plastipak, you will leverage your electronics and programming skills in a dynamic and high-growth manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing various machinery and equipment while ensuring adherence to high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
• Document PLC programs using RS Logix 5, 500 & 5000 software.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems using various techniques and tools including computers, PLCs, voltage meters, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform electrical preventive maintenance including screw tightening, component replacement, and visual inspections.
• Design and install safety control upgrades to protect workers and machines.
• Engineer improvements for Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
• Share responsibility for on-call technical support on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Electrical Studies preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), AutoCAD, and RS Logix 5, 500, and 5000 software.
• Ability to program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Vision Systems.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical troubleshooting skills and manufacturing systems.
• Variable frequency drive experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
